Haha I thought video uploads were meant to be there but thanks for the heads up for the future for posting but I posted the same thing on Reddit and people are saying I messed it up by accidentally cutting off the support tabs and going to deep in the channel and I just want to make sure I didn’t mess it upFirst... thanks for letting me know that video uploads got enabled for members. I was experimenting with some settings. I didn't mean to enable video uploads for members... yet. It can take up a lot of bandwidth, requiring me to pay a lot more for storage and bandwidth. So, you got to sneak that one in! Ha!
That being out of the way.... What is it that you want or need to fix? What are you trying to show us there?
I do see some rather rough finishing of the channel and tabs. But, is there a functional problem? Is it not functioning properly?
Also... welcome to the forum and thanks for jumping into the fray! When you get a chance, tell us about yourself in the Introduce Yourself! section.
Also that people are saying since I took it off the frame could snap when firing and that I went to deep on the sides of the channel but I just need reassurance thank youHaha I thought video uploads were meant to be there but thanks for the heads up for the future for posting but I posted the same thing on Reddit and people are saying I messed it up by accidentally cutting off the support tabs and going to deep in the channel and I just want to make sure I didn’t mess it up

I will reply with some still photosHmmm.... I went back to watch the video again. Honestly, it's hard for me to tell what's going on, because you're spinning the frame around (moving it).
In this case, I think some still photos (well-lit and well-focused) would help more.
Yes i feel like I messed up on it
I will reply with some still photos
Ahhh ok ok well im still going to try and fire it but I’m going to do it safely but thanks for the helpI had to grab my 940SC frame to get some perspective of what was there.

You removed the pillars indicated by the red arrows.
So, I think the concern is that the Front Locking Block / Rails module is supported there by those pillars (yellow arrows). So, you've lost that front support. The only thing keeping the FLBR from being displaced in a forward direction will be the pins.
So, I'd say it's probably "no bueno." But, I'm still a bit of a noob, especially compared to some of our compadres (experienced experts) here. Let's see what they say.
No I don’t think so I was using a sand paper machine I don’t remember what’s it calledDaniel, that is not going to work. Do you mind if I ask what tool you were using to clear the channel? I have built two 940SC's the channel is super easy to clear using the proper tool. Do you have a Dremel.
Thank you i really need this frame to work because I I live in California so I can’t really order a new frameYou can rebuild the pillars with JB weld. The front pin is 2mm so I don't trust it. Get some 2 part JB Weld and a toothpick and look at a pic of how it should look. I will send you one in a few minutes in a post.
Yes good idea but I can’t really buy a new frameMy advice, to everyone, is to slow down. Be SMOOTH. Make the frame SMOOTH.
Take your time with it. A lot of time. Working with plastic is a challenge. It can melt away quickly. And, it's hard to put it back.
You can always buy another frame... and if you can... you may want to... soon. We've got about 6 weeks before the unserialized frames can no longer be sold without an FFL. And a lot of merchants are running out of stock.
Besides taking away too much, the finish is very rough on your frame. But, it's all part of the learning process.![]()

It was a drill masterSand paper machine? Got a photo of it?
I think it may be time to take a pause for the cause and educate yourself. Get the right tools and learn the process for a result that will function correctly and be safe. You're building a gun, not a birdhouse.
