Ummm... welcome to 3 weeks ago. I'm not sure why this youtuber is so far behind the curve.

I posted that message from the owner of P80 three weeks ago here:

Property has been up for sale... posted 3 weeks ago on same thread:

Yeah, "Breaking" is a mother of an overstatement and makes one think, "Im not using that source for 'breaking' news of anything!

Thanks. I did a quick search of the forum before posting and didn't see anything about it.

You Tube is also over-run with money request ads every 60 seconds for Kameltoe and other commie pukes.

I noticed the dickhead moderator on GT - who I told to GFH - has either lost his stripes or quit.

There are too many voices on GT. Some really smart folks - also a disproportionate number of a-holes and pretenders. There's a mob rule mentality there that I just could not warm up to.

On the other hand the Kimber Forum is the same five guys talking to each other all day, so there's never anything new being said. Just about everyone not in the club bails out after a couple of weeks.

Ruger and Springfield forums are pretty welcoming but boring as Hell.

And then.... There's the BEST forum! ;)

Some of you might enjoy my responses to this thread on GlockTalk:

You're right! I read the whole thread and enjoyed it very much, but the pretentious and clearly anti-2A mindset of a few GT members posting in that thread is most definitely one of the reasons I will likely never subscribe over there, refreshing as your very through rebuttals were! You're definitely playing Chess when they're apparently only equipped to play Checkers!

Those you were responding to reminded me of the sign gifted me during my career, which I then displayed prominently in my office for a number of years before I retired (now it's in my home "office"). That sign says,

"I was hoping for a battle of wits, but you appear to be unarmed!" 🤣

Somebody has one small issue with a Glock clone - "should have just purchased a Glock, dumbass." No help at all, a bunch of ignorant critics. Have an issue with a Glock - "you are holding it wrong, what did you do to it, your metal mag release is going to ruin the whole gun, stock Glock triggers are great, aftermarket parts will junk your gun and make it unreliable and unsafe, send it back to Glock."

I always have fun with my standard answer to that: "But I already have 3 factory Glocks. I didn't realize I had to choose one or the other!" :geek:

I'm with you on that. Keep up the good work!

All of the big forums have those guys that have been around forever who act like they invented guns and their word is gospel. GT is full of tools who take themselves way too seriously. Legends in their own minds. The worst among those are just humorless douchebags.

It's a hobby unless you carry a gun for a living. There are many levels or degrees of expertise in the realm of firearms and I don't mean to trivialize that by calling it a hobby. Carrying a gun for self defense is also a serious undertaking that demands a lot of skill but most people who do aren't very good at it. In most cases they thankfully never find that out.

The reason wannabe nabobs on forums get testy when someone rubs their rhubarb is that they know deep down they are a mile wide and an inch deep when it comes to the subject of guns and more importantly can't shoot worth a shit - which is the whole fucking reason for owning a gun in the first place. Hammer owners who cant drive a nail but think they are carpenters. Their online persona is not who they are. Or... even worse sometimes it represents exactly who they are: douchebags consumed with the need to be important. Forums are FULL of Walter Mitty's escaping a mundane life thru daydreams. Social media was the catalyst.

My wife, who is always very sensible, has repeatedly asked me why I occasionally get into protracted debates online. She reminds me that I have been blessed with a charmed and adventurous life, have my heath, miraculously didn't get killed, and have nothing to prove to anybody. My answer is always the same. I find it strangely entertaining. Mixed in with the plethora of douchebags, you sometimes meet some very interesting people. And you learn from them. That makes it all worth it.

Very true. I like to think of it as exercising my brain.
