When my other builds were done, things were less complicated than today.
I still have a couple of PF940C frames that were finished years ago when they were still legal to own, and have been waiting patiently for me to complete them. One black and one FDE. According to the state law, they had to be serialized, moved out of state, or destroyed.
Living in Marylandistan, it is difficult to find vendors that will still ship gun parts here. There is a new law that prohibits "
gun kits" which prohibits complete build kits. Most vendors are so confused by the ambiguous state laws they won't risk shipping anything that may find them looking at a lawsuit from the commie AG. It is just not worth the small profit that may be realized if it leads to legal fees.
After some research, an OEM lower parts kit should be here today. Now I need to decide which frame to use, and gather the rest of the parts. Thankfully, a few vendors still try to fill the needs of patriots living behind enemy lines.
All of my builds thus far, have been the traditional black colored frames and I am leaning that way on this one. It still needs to be serialized which costs about $50 here, if I can still find an FFL that will do it. Hoping the guy that did my others is still willing. I would like to be able to use it as a CCW.
Once everything is done, my collection of Polymer80, Glock clones will be complete with a 43, 26, 19, and two 17s(both frame versions).
