Hey guys looking to do my 1st 1022 build. Is there a list of needed parts and any videos like we have for pistol building.

GGrrreeaaatttttt, just what I needed. Another project and another rifle.
GEE THANKS!!! -:,*+,¡》°¤^_@;+)?&×&
Doing the magnum

Anyone else cringed watching this video? Oh my goodness, MGB might have to come out of retirement and smack some FTQ to his face.

Definitely a different.....style, lol

Yikes! I jumped ahead in the video and watched a short segment where he was drilling holes. No dry-run plunges to confirm it's all lined up. And most of the time, he was skipping off the edges of the jig. And again when he counter-sunk the holes. I would imagine the actual build not going together very well (if at all). But, yeah... a complete lack of precision in his approach.

Safety note, after watching parts of the video.

Most people will best a small belt drive drill press like that one when it grabs you, but it is still a bad practice to have something on you that can get caught in a turning machine.

May not be so bad with rubber gloves.
But
Wearing gloves or clothing near spinning equipment can be a recipe for disaster.
I did not say machine naked. Stuff gets wound up in turning machines fast when it happens.

I have seen one of our engineers wanting to quickly turn a part on a lathe with a tie on I witnessed the tie tip just bouncing along the top of the part as the machine turned.
Hit the off button for him and this floor guy got a big WTF for my kindness.

Have seen a gloved hand half eaten by a bench grinder.
gloved hand pulled into a belt sander, guy got a good scuffing
have wound a hand drill locked in the on position into my own flannel shirt.

Stay safe.

Gives me the willies thinking about it.
