45acp die set

Mothers might do it. I would try a oiled .45 bore brush first.
Then the Mothers impregnated tee shirt trick.

Another way is to use a green Scotch Brite.

And when you're done, blow the die out with Carb or
Brake cleaner outside and up wind with proper PPE.
( Had to say it because common sense isn't anymore.)
PPE... I love it !
I was the Safety Guy at 5 different corporations in Phoenix !!!!

Found some die sets on Amazon $64 + for the 4 die st or $28 for the FCD.

Make sure the die that scratches isn't cracked. Scratch brass is what indicated my die was broken. That and oversized round that wouldn't chamber easily like before. The resizing ring in the crimp die was dragging on loaded rounds more than usual. Yet another valuable service provided by the Lee Factory Crimp Die.

It can be difficult to see the crack because it closes up tight with no pressure on it.

It is very difficult to embed grit in carbide or scratch it. Still worth cleaning it up first.
I might just pitch the die and buy a replacement RCBS die. This makes more sense. I couldn't see a micro fracture if my life depended on it.

Is the die a carbide? I looked at this thread and you never said. If it's not then try cleaning it before you pitch it.

RCBS carbide in the green box 3 die set.
