That comes to about $US 45k. Insurance deemed the cars a total loss. There are two cases discussed in this video.

Road debris punched through the flimsy shield (shown in video) under the car and put a 15-mm dent in the battery casing. Even though there were no subsequent malfunctions, they totaled the car. The cost of replacing the battery is higher than the new car purchase price.

The reality of the EV hoax is becoming inevitably apparent.

Of course, I predicted all of this years ago and got excoriated for daring to point out what should have been obvious.
The laws of physics govern over their stupidity! SCROOM!

I've been trolling hard on EVs for years saying it is one more way for Big Brother to control your travels. You can easily be shut-down via satellite or at the next "charging station". It is only a matter of time before we are all are implanted with a chip that will allow access to a driverless EV pod (for the elites) or EV mass-transit (for the dregs). Where you are and where you go will be monitored constantly... ;)

No need to go off the charts.
It’s obvious the battery is the most expensive component.
It’s also obvious that the market for used EV’s has tanked and EV’s have the highest depreciation in the vehicular market.

Yeah, I wait one of these LOL

As much as I harsh on EVs, one would fit my commute perfectly. About 10mi each way to the shop, I would have to charge once, maybe twice every 2wks.

Race88 and Bobster- 100% in agreement with you both in simply speaking the truth. And if that's going "off the charts", what pray tell will you do when there is a real crisis?

pfft. I was there when EV's were being developed by a certain So CA electrical Utility Co that I worked for, for almost 3 decades. We weren't fooled. It was all political. Bobster and Racer88 hit the nail on the head squarely.

I'll be running a wood gasifier when they shut down gas and the grid crashes.
