A segment of our "society" needs to be dealt with HARSHLY. Retired police chief intentionally killed on his bike by teens in a stolen car.

I agree - to a point. But only if the following conditions are met:

1. the murder was not premeditated
2. no prior history of violence or criminal behavior

Otherwise.. after 2 appeals or two years, whichever comes first, death. I don't agree death is not punishment. Nobody wants to die.

I also believe that we should have prisons and we should also lockups for the criminally insane. Separate facilities. Violent offenders, sexual perverts, pedophiles, basically the full range of psychopaths and child molesters get an isolated cell the size of a closet and no contact with other prisoners. Forever. No chance of ever getting out.
Why should we pay to house, feed, and clothe them for life?

We’re not the Middle East with Sharia Law, we are a little bit more civilized.
Except for a couple of minutes or seconds even death is not a punishment.
Life long suffering is.
You make a bad choice, you go to jail.
You make a bad choice in jail you go to AdSec or the SHU.
You make a bad choice again, you stay a little bit longer.
Your life is a series of decisions, good or bad that’s your choice.
Life without parole.
Sent them across the country where family or friends can’t or won’t visit.
You’re on your own buddy.

I think for the survival of this republic we need to become LESS civilized. DEvolution if you will. :)

I don't believe in "life" in prison nor do I want to pay for it. And it is BIG business here in FL with most prisons at max capacity. Prisons generally do NOTHING to "fix" many convicts because it is costly--recidivism is common. And that is because they are un-fixable so why are we trying to "help" them? What do you do with a vicious or rabid dog? You put it down...

Until they start referring to prisons as "work camps" and bring back the chain gang, it is often a right-of-passage for some thug that will just be gunned down by his/her peers after release, anyway... Love him or hate him, Sheriff Joe Arpaio was on to something! :) (y)

Well with life without parole there’s really no need to fix
No courses, no training, no nothing.
Just keep punching license plates all day every day.
If…and that’s a big if we give you the privilege to work for your commissary.

Sometimes people kill someone else in a moment of passion or confusion. If you carry a weapon, you could very easily make a mistake. Maybe lose your cool or an error in judgment gets you convicted. There are a lot of other scenarios that involve a killing but malice wasn't a factor.

I say death should be reserved for psychos who want to kill and enjoy it. And pedophiles. Because they are incurable.

I have been to places where people are executed for not agreeing or falling out of favor with those in power. Justice needs to be balanced and reasonable. Without that we become savages.

Very eloquent and on point as usual.

My comment was actually aimed at the worst murderers. Pedofiles too...all of them.

That 👆🏻👆🏻👆🏻 right on point. Plus they get internet/tablets, and other amenities some low paid working class family can barely afford. We are paying for the homeless BS as well - free phones, needles, crack pipes, food etc….Communism, here we are.

….Communism, here we are.
Here is the real evidence of Communism and where we are.

If folks don't believe it now, then they probably never will until the full jack boot is on their throats.

See the thread I just posted and the recent press release from the DOJ convicting Grandmas for blocking an abortion clinic who now face 11 years in prison and up to $300K fines under "Federal Civil Rights Conspiracy" offenses. Folks REALLY need to read this official press release. Goebbels writing a manifesto and an implied statement of threat to the general public could not do a better job.

Folks this has NOTHING to do with abortions. Discussing that topic is merely deflecting from the real topic of concern within that press release and that's the persecution of citizens through the courts. It doesn't matter if it's about an abortion or election results, people are being thrown into the Gulags at all ages. Look at history. We are mirroring it right now and we are all living through it.
