Anybody know semaphore signal flags? I'm curious what this vase says. The appraiser on Antiques Roadshow did not mention anything about it at all... šŸ¤”

Apparently "semaphore" is the waving of flags/etc in certain ways to create a message. WIKI I stand corrected on my improper use of the term.

What those are on the jar are "Signal Flags"... :) LINK
 
I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that it is nothing more than decoration.

But if I'm wrong it might say "Go away kid, you're bothering me" šŸ˜œ

The more I look at it, the more it looks like gibberish--some of the "flags" on the vase do not exist on the chart... :rolleyes:
I was hoping one of the old salts here would pipe up and say "That is quote from Shakespeare!" or something interesting like that... :)
