New NOVA doc puts Revolutionary War weapons to the test
Ars Technica is not a conservative site. Basically a site for nerdy news with a liberal bent. Which is what made their interview so interesting. 2 of the big things they discussed were:
- How important PMFs were to the war effort—they mention clockmakers cobbling together old weapons for the war
- How important constant training was for the war effort… it was more involved for most Americans than “just grab Grandpa’s old musket and fight”
Both of those points seemed up this forum’s alley, which was very interesting considering how otherwise liberal Ars is
