The draw can be as loud as you want as long as it doesn't sound like a gunshot...Do they have rules about how loud the sound of a draw can be? Asking for a friend.

The only ones on the grass are the shooter and the RSO. The shooter loads just before he/she begins the stage. Haven't seen any NDs yet...![]()
The rules are for the intelligence/skill encumbered. Considering about 75% of those of us that show for Action Pistol are RSOs, it is unlikely we will be "practicing incompetence", whatever that means...Missed my point.
The message I'm getting by your description is: "Come over here to practice negligent discharges. It's 'safer' to practice incompetence over here on the grass."
My point is that it's seemingly contradictory that they're planning for NDs. "Have an ND here, not there." It's just how it strikes me... right or wrong. I'm sure I'm misinterpreting it. It just sounds funny to me.The rules are for the intelligence/skill encumbered. In related AP news, here is 85yo Larry ringing steel efficiently with a 9mm 1911. He has probably forgotten more about building 1911s than we'll EVER know...This stage involved drawing while approaching the barrels and engaging the 4 plates, 2 on either side, closest first (1 out of view) from cover of the barrels. At least 2 shots per. Larry is a little wobbly so he is assisted by his son John (in blue) who while a shooter, chooses not to shoot as he has property he can shoot and hunt on. He brings his dad to the AP out of love for him...

My point is that it's sad (and contradictory) that they're planning for NDs. "Have an ND here, not there." It's just how it strikes me... right or wrong. It just sounds funny to me.
The past/current "leadership" has been very safety-oriented/lawsuit-averse, understandably
He IS a barrel!
