Hello again. I’ve been doing a bunch of lurking and reading/research and I just got to thinking, what other frames are out there that are Glock style and also 80% (and also good quality)? Geisler and PSA look a little crappy, and SCT looks great but it doesn’t seem that they make 80% frames. If I’m gonna go through the expense/hassle/wait of an FFL transfer I’m gonna just buy a factory complete firearm. That’s just me.

Also, do they make 80% frames of say Smith and Wesson M&P pistols or beretta or HK? Or Walther or Sig P230 pocket pistol style? In other words, is there a list out there of all the different pistol makes/models and styles they make 80% frames for and what those frames are?

Also, I know they make 80% Sig frames (at least for full size Sigs) but I can’t seem to find them, every Sig frame I find is 100% complete and FFL. Where can the 80% Sig frames be found?

Anyways, just figured I’d post this here, this place has been very helpful so far. I’ve gained a decade’s worth of knowledge in the few months I’ve been here. Thanks again as always. Much appreciated.

I'm hoping the unconstitutional restrictions will be lifted by this administration, and either P80 will rise from the ashes or some other companies will step up.

One used to be able to get Sig 80% chassis (the serialized part) which you would install in a grip frame along with all the other parts conveniently available from Sig or other sources. (clips from today, USPA)

There are also 1911 kits that involve machining the rails, etc.

P80 offered 80% frames of all colors (you could get white and dye to your chosen color) and textures (ie: you could get a smooth and stipple/texture yourself).
Aside from this forum and its resources you could try Reddit to get more info and see all the failures. :D

@Racer88 Maybe you could have a "wayback" thread with ads or pics from "the good ol' days"... :) I know I probably have a few screenshots of old invoices.
