I'm starting to work on some leather pancake holsters and had a few hiccups that I think are related to the difference in dimensions between a stock Glock and P80 builds. Since I don't have a stock Glock, I don't have anything to compare to.

Can anyone tell me where there are dimensional differences between the stock frames and P80 frames, and what those differences are. I'm not concerned about the grip length but do need grip width dimensions.

I'm primarily interested in the full/compact/sub-compact (which are the same basic structure) and Large frames (G20/G21).

The P80 trigger guard is way lower and wider so won't fit in a glockish holster. I think there are some thickness under the slide differences as well. I have several Glock holsters that will also hold the Lone Wolf TWCs but only one that will take a PF940C. Couldn't advise you on the large frame P80 but the same holster that fits the PF940C fits my G30 well. Both are non-optic. I'm fixing to do a holster post but I don't know when I can get around to it. I'll check my notes see if I took any measurements...

Thanks for that feedback Bobster. The area I was having the most trouble was the trigger area, but it was hard to tell for sure given the struggle I had forming the leather. I look forward to your post.

You might want to take a gander at this thread immediately below this sentence. It may be helpful to you somewhat.

Maybe take note of the glock on the right in the photo below from that thread. Note the polymer thickness on the Glock just in front of the trigger guard and compare it to the same area on the P80 wher the Picitanny rails start on the same area. Compare this entire area to the glock.

And then you have the more obvious areas that differ in the trigger guards with the horns and shape of the P80 being larger. More photos and input in the link above.

Maybe it can help you get an idea on what areas need massaging.
Cheers.

Some good input on that thread. I appreciate the pointer, and as you noted it is pointing me towards identifying where the problem areas are.
