Feels like the end of an era, my last two P80 frames got their guts and slides today.

Nothing really special about them, and FDE PF940Cv2 and a PF940SC loaded up with used Glock slide assemblies from a G23 and a G27. Both in 40 S&W.

So, at the end of this multi-year adventure, I pretty much have a pairs of compact and sub-compact pistols in 9mm, 357 Sig, and 40 S&W.

Hahahahaaaaaaaaaa! Sure... "the end." ;)

"I'm never drinking again!" ;)
Never say never again....

But, well, the laws of diminishing returns do kick in after a while. And for me I've hit the enough is enough point. I did what I wanted and new challenges await.

It is also colored by the demise of Polymer80. Should someone manager to resurrect the company, I would likely buy another, just because they would deserve the business.

Yep. Build some different things. Maybe delve into printing or milling. Get into building rifles?

Or just "shoot'em" and report back! ;)

The deeper I dig on printing, the more I become convinced the technology isnt yet good enough. I've built enough Glock clones. My next venture is likely to be metal/milling. I've considered resurrecting my plan to buy a 1911 kit just to get my feet wet in building one from an incomplete frame and doing all the fitting myself.

Yeah, I haven't decided what to tackle next. Thoughts have bounced from a classic side by side shotgun to a few experiments in lost wax casting using 3d printed masters. I'm still working off and on at adding CNC to the milling machine, drill press, and lathe.

In any case, I hope you'll stick around here!
