My mags arrived, and I can't wait to range test the G43 build tomorrow. I ordered one grip with a finger extension, both are Glock mags.

Question:

This gun is eminently pocketable, even with the little extension. I thought it might offer another round but it does not, just a piece to rest your pinky on. But I've heard a Pearce grip extension may allow for an extra round with some follower modification. Is that reliable? I may want to invest in two of them. The gun is so small I see no reason to have the stock grip with my pinky floating free, there's no reason not to have the extension.

For those of you who pocket this, have you found a pocket holster that works? I believe those molded for Glock don't always work but maybe someone is making holsters for these P80 build.

For an IWB carry are there holsters you folks have used with the G43 size P80?

Thanks in advance!

I'm a fan of the Remora "sticky" holsters. They can also work IWB in a pinch, too.
I pocket carry a S&W 642 in one. And even my G27 IWB when out in the yard walking the dog, for example.

See the final page of my red PF9SS build thread. Detail is there.

Thanks, Callducks!

The Pearce extension gives extra capacity with OEM G43 mags marked "01".
The 02 mags have a redesigned follower and require modification. There's a thread about it.

I had this holster made. At the time the PF9SS was still pretty new and he didn't have one to use as a mold. He used a factory G43. The trigger guard is where the difference is. I heated it for like 10 seconds with a heat gun on low, just enough to get it warm so the plastic would move. Inserted the PF9SS and voila! Now it's a PF9SS holster.

Good tips! This place is so awesome for real-world help!

My QVO Tactical and JM custom kydex g43x and g48 mos holsters work fine. I wouldn’t carry pocket. Grab a PHLster enigma and you’ll be very satisfied. Oh and on May 18th Shield Arms will have 9+1 round mags available with steel mag release it’s called the Z9

I got mine from knightfallcustomes. He was the only few that had PF9SS with the Baldr Mini Olight combo. Also, this was yrs or two ago, the start of covid and it didn't take 6 months like everyone was quoting... got it with in 2 weeks

That Enigma System is the most interesting thing I've seen in a long time. I'm going to have to research that!

I’ve seen those little arms that are supposed to make the butt ride closer to the body. Some of you have them, are you impressed or are they unnecessary?

On a holster that only has one point of attachment, they do keep the butt of the pistol tucked in against your body so it doesn't print. They are unobtrusive. you won't know it's there.

You can read my review of Enigma...
I love it, I have ditched my gun belts all together,
sweat pants and short-short yr round :LOL::ROFLMAO:

Yeah the PHLster floodlight is also a great holster that works with the lightbearing enigma. I have two LBE’s and I haven’t looked back since. They just take a while to get set up, but once you are set up. You’ll never want to use another holster system again.

Wow. At first glance I thought that Enigma was monstrous overkill, but the more videos I watch about it the more sense it makes. Especially for someone a little doughy like myself. I'm also going to bet a couple minimalist clip type holsters to play with.

Dumped FarceBook a couple years ago.

OK. I like the Enigma concept, BUT ... IMNSHO it's overkill for the PF9SS. This gun is in the same category of guns as my 5-shot snub. I will likely experiment with the Enigma for larger guns, but decided to pass on it for this.

Interestingly, PHLsters, makers of the Enigma, make an IWB for the PF9SS with molded in wedge, but I decided to take their concept and make my own wedges and customize it myself. So I ordered an IWB from Knightfall Customs. They look like solid choices.

I also got a trigger guard holster, which I found intriguing. It is 3D printed, so feeding my desire to get a printer one of these days. See it here. Will report on both products later.

Glad to hear you second Mooner's recommendation. They look well-made. And what I learned from the Enigma YouToobz is I can take a plain holster like this and customize it myself. Which I think I will do.
