Could be beneficial on a bump in the night gun maybe. Sort of a catch-22 as thermal would let you know you have a target but without light you can't make a positive target id. Of course, same argument for folks like me who have tritium sights.
If your thinking about getting into NOD, this would be much cheaper. MSRP should be under 1k for base and 2k for premium. Still a lot less expensive compared to NOD & it's support gears.
I have some photos of it I got from the show it's pretty nice the only flaw I saw was the clear proective covers were broken on every one out there. Otherwise it was a great optic. I'll upload the photos tomorrow if I can.
