Very careful and slow removal of the block / tab. Micro-sander to finish. Then rubber and felt polisher with Novus plastic polish. Then Cerakote!

Wish I thought of that. I'm definitely getting those. Haha I glued 600 grit sandpaper to something long and dremeled it. Painstakingly bit by bit. No where near the quality yall did.

Nice. Mine could still use a polish. I didn't have a micro sander at the time. Just dremel with sandpaper. I got it flush to the line but tried to go lower because I thought a Glock 26 was like that. A mistake, I know now but she still runs fine. Never had a Glock before to compare.

I haven't built a PF940SC (G26 / G27) frame, yet. But I recall that you DO have to take the channel down pretty much flush with the bottom of the dust cover (in front of it).

Ok, good. Yea it's harder to compare specs for the g26 variants opposed to the g17 ones, for me at least.

All I had to go on were Glock frame pictures, one mgb vid(the rear rail fixes vid I believe) and talks with shop owners. I mostly had to put 2 and 2 together .

Do you remember where you happened across hearing about how low to take the channel?
 
I'm not at home to look. I don't recall the 940SC/G26-7 being any different than the 940C/G19.. channel. I followed the lines. The SS/G43 removal you do take it flush to the frame and the area to remove is in a different position on the frame as well.

Yea same here. Wish they made all the new updates like the g43 channel. So much less room for error.
 
ya gotta get that sander. So glad I sprang for one as soon as that was posted over at MGB's site. Worth its weight in gold!
 
Cheaper china knock off sander uses exact same tools and sandpaper. I used this to clean up my bridge frame along with a DIY tooth brush sander. What’s nice about this tool it’s DC so it can be modified to operate with battery…aka portable.
