I'm in the VA hospital!

Maybe see a good chiropractor. I thought they were all quacks for the longest time.

I would get a dull throbbing pain down my left arm, which suggests heart problems or a heart attack. It was a nerve thing… like a pinched nerve in my neck/shoulder . Chiropractor fixed it in two sessions.

Glad to hear your pump is running ok.

Certainly praiseworthy news, innit? So glad it wasn't something serious.

Pinched nerves can mimic a number of things we don't want as you described, Lewi. Sometimes a hot shower and/or massage will get it relieved. A good chiropractor is another avenue. operative word: GOOD. They can also wrack you up if you get a quack or someone too overzealous and won't listen to the patient and just plow on through. Though I'm not a usual proponent of Big Pharmaceutical at all, muscle relaxers sparingly used for the right thing can also work wonders.

I bit off more than could chew at the gym a few weeks ago, schlepping some sizable weight on the pull down bars "hey this no problem..." Pfft. 36 hours later, my right bicep & shoulder area let me know about it...LOUDLY and painfully...that screwed up my workout routine for almost two weeks until it fully healed. Not a torn rotator cuff, but a pissed-off muscle that tended up pinching a nerve that let me know about it. But I digress.

Aging isn't for sissies. Had an old lady in Costco tell me that one day...

Or a masseuse can often do the trick.

Best massage I ever had was in Seoul. The second best was at the Tokyo Sauna in Joplin Missouri when I was 19. It was a package deal that included a body shampoo.

I have a good friend that got an excellent report from his cardiologist. Said he had the heart of a 25 year old man. Had the "widow-maker" a week later but luckily survived. Still kickin' 10 years later, just learned to slow down.
