I built a GGP v4 Gen 3 G19 with GGP barrel and serial numbered GGP G19 frame (which is a p80). I used all Glock OEM internals for the upper and lower. 100% engagement, stock trigger functions fine, passed all safety tests including drop. When using any Glock OEM Gen 3 or 4 magazine (15 or 17 round), the last round in the magazine will NOT go into battery, it sticks at the top of the magazine, and the slide stays open, engaged by the slide stop. Using any Magpul GL9 OR Glock Gen 5 magazine (15 or 17 round), the last round goes into battery without a hitch - has not failed to do so yet. The slide then locks open after the final round.

So what's the scoop on the Glock gen 4 magazines? Are they OOS? Some secret adjustment I don't know about? I have other builds that work fine with any magazine.

Problem solved. It's the follower on the magazine. I had some GLO-1812 (6) followers, which have a notch on the left hand side, that is just under the slide stop lever. The magazines that would not allow the last round to go in to battery do NOT have the notch, and are flat, and elevate the lever before the last round goes into battery. I changed them out, easy peasy. No last round stuck in the magazine. I may try to dremel a notch in the flat followers and see if that solves the problem as well.

I missed this thread somehow. Interesting, though I'm not sure what was happening without photos.

I've got a mish-mash of magazines (all OEM)... don't know which generations they are.

The Magpul magazines I used that worked fine had the GLO 1812-6 follower (I forgot I had done this a couple of years ago). My new Magpul GL9 magazines and some of the Glock Gen 3 and 4 magazines would leave the last round, not feeding into battery. I used my trusty Dremel on the GL9 orange follower to make the notch like the GLO 1812-6. Worked like a charm. I have attached pics to show the modification.
