Any time you do stippling it feels better, you have a firmer hold.
You can control the way it feels to you hand for a soft feeling grip or make it course to your hand. You can polish the rough burns that happens with some patterns of stippling to tone them down.
Stippling is one custom feature that can really give your build a custom look. With practice anyone can stipple and save yourself lots of money.

True. I just poked holes with my dremel to make mine more aggressive. Used to using trees as punching bags so love aggressive texture.

You did amazingly on yours my man. On my pretty build all I did was scrape off duracoat. Gave it a new look.
