Military Funnies

If you grew up in the 60's, this was a quaint pop song on the radio.

If you were a Vietnam Vet, in meant something entirely different.

I was about t years too young to get sent to Vietnam, but I was well aware of what that tune meant! (y)(y)

34 straight days?? That's NOTHING. In the Persian Gulf we went 118 days without touching land or seeing a female.

For those too young to remember, "Puff the Magic Dragon" was an AC47 gunship. Predecessor to the AC130 used today.
The Vietnam Vet I worked with years ago said it looked like the Enterprise firing phasers coming down from the night sky and sounded like a cow mooing.

My brother (30 year Air Force) hates this one.
He says "Where's the lobster? Where's the caviar?"

We veterans just love it when someone who.... when they find out we're a veteran.... says, "I almost joined the military." As if that's some sort of boast or equivalent declaration of patriotism.
