When my other builds were done, things were less complicated than today.

I still have a couple of PF940C frames that were finished years ago when they were still legal to own, and have been waiting patiently for me to complete them. One black and one FDE. According to the state law, they had to be serialized, moved out of state, or destroyed.

Living in Marylandistan, it is difficult to find vendors that will still ship gun parts here. There is a new law that prohibits "šŸ‘»gun kits" which prohibits complete build kits. Most vendors are so confused by the ambiguous state laws they won't risk shipping anything that may find them looking at a lawsuit from the commie AG. It is just not worth the small profit that may be realized if it leads to legal fees.

After some research, an OEM lower parts kit should be here today. Now I need to decide which frame to use, and gather the rest of the parts. Thankfully, a few vendors still try to fill the needs of patriots living behind enemy lines.

All of my builds thus far, have been the traditional black colored frames and I am leaning that way on this one. It still needs to be serialized which costs about $50 here, if I can still find an FFL that will do it. Hoping the guy that did my others is still willing. I would like to be able to use it as a CCW.

Once everything is done, my collection of Polymer80, Glock clones will be complete with a 43, 26, 19, and two 17s(both frame versions).

Looking forward to your build updates! I took a family photo today, still working on the compact.

The new compact is assembled and has passed all safety and function checks. Sear engagement in about 50% with a 5.5 pound trigger pull. The lower parts kit is not OEM as advertised, but seems to be decent quality.

Being frugal, I went with a PSA slide assembly for less than $200. It has some relief cuts in the slide to lighten it, a threaded barrel, suppressor height sights, and an RMR optic cut.

I like to keep things pretty basic on my handguns so no optic is planned.

The last build has a little more personality than the others, unless you consider the custom grip reduction on my first full sized frame.

My Polymer80 family:

Top left is a PF940 v1.5 frame which was originally covered with ridges and was uncomfortable to shoot. This required removing a lot of material to end up with a grip that actually fits a human hand. Some silicone carbide powder epoxied to the grip area makes it easy to hold onto. There was a huge extension and flare on the magwell that was removed to make it less obtrusive and more concealable. The trigger guard was also undercut. Notice the extra large and square beavertail. One day, I may whittle on it a little.

Top right is the PF940 v2.0 frame. This gives me two G-17 clones.
Bottom left is the PF940SC frame finished into a G-26 clone.
Bottom center is the PF9SS frame which serves as my G-43 clone.
Bottom right is the PF940C that was just completed.

If you look closely, you will see three triggers that are forward. These are my primary carry guns and I was too lazy to clear them for the picture. Each was safely returned to it's holster.

No extra capacity bases, just pinky extensions on the little mags.

Does it have steel rear rails?
No sir. The rear rails on the v1.5 had to be milled and are polymer. Definitely different from the v2.0 which is more like a real Glock.

This is what it looked like before the grip reduction:

You can see that the rear rails were slightly thicker than the front.

My AA 17/22 conversion would not work on it, at first. The slide would not fit over the rear rails so I thinned them out a little until it would. Then the conversion mags would not lock into the gun because they were hitting the feed ramp on the barrel. Trimmed them a little and now it runs well. It takes a little fiddling with the slide lock to fully lock the slide onto the v1.5 frame, too.

The conversion works without issue on the v2.0 frame.

My state doesn't care and so I carry mine quite often and is just shy as a favorite to my 19.
