It is true that only the first 400-500 people in were violent. The rest of the crowd acted like tourists. But good behavior by some does not excuse violent behavior by others. And no one’s behavior once inside excuses Trump.

Most of the initial wave were FBI plants or being led by them. Trump knew about the plan and what time it was supposed to happen. That's why he was deliberately 2 hours late to keep as many people away as possible.
