I decided the home page (Patriot Gun Builders dot com) need a little image pizazz. So, I gathered up some frames and made this "studio shot." Whattaya think? :cool:

If possible adding 2nd amendment mention in background like ETOS of the forum.

Many on the liberal (WOKE) side think that only reason people go into this hobby is to create violence and illegal activity, and if you are part of it you must be criminal.
They just dont get it, the logic they use is go to store do background check and get firearms that way only and if you go any other way you must be felon that cant pass it, and if you build it yourself you trying to bypass that process therefore if you trying to help people DIY you must be committing a crime.
So making clear to new people joining this forum or the ones looking from outside that members here are nothing like that, and if the only intend we have is to exercise our 2nd amendment,
and doing it doesn't make us criminals.
Just posting pic of frames in current anti gun climate can be misinterpreted by current administration or any other ignorant anti gut moron as call for violence, that's how they like to spin it.
After any sad tragedy like we just had, its opportunity for new gun control push.
Trying to put all responsible firearm enthusiast in the same boat like that crazy killer.

Ha! Yes... I'm familiar with the word, "ethos." But, I read, write, and speak very literally. So, when you wrote "ETOS," I assumed it was an acronym for something. :)

As for the ethos of this forum, I thought I did a fairly decent job of spelling that out on my intro home page.

As for quoting the 2A... the anti-gunners consider that "extremism," as well. So, we can't win for losin'.

But, it might make for a cool image if I'm thinking what you're thinking... the pile of P80 frames superimposed over an image of the Constitution?

You know that in todays world very few read the small print.
we got new generation of young people think that police is racist, all of them even if only few bad apples crossed the line, or if you join military you must be wanting to kill people same ideology.

I'm actually tempted to unbox all my frames and join in the sculpting! But alas I'm too lazy today, rainy overcast weather does that to me. They don't call this New England for nothing.
I may have to watch Goodfellas in honor of Ray Liotta. Apparently he died a normal death, no drugs or hookers like normal celebrities...or future Hunter Biden, haha.

You do have a point from a marketing perspective. If this is the main home page image, it may imply to AR folks that this forum is mainly about Poly 80 building and they move along without signing up.

Hey, I'm not splitting hairs with your photo, but I do think first impressions leave a lasting thought in one's mind. I think you realized that with my post. Once they think it's a pistol forum, it will require someone telling them the opposite at a later time to potentially make them return again. This would happen perhaps in another forum, or through word of mouth.
 
I have a few of those "other" (long-gun) projects on the burner that I'm gaining confidence and info on before I tackle them. IMO it would be great for them to be represented on the home page as well!!
