"PF" Frame Model / Glock Compatibility Pictorial

THere were really only after market slides for 19, 17, 43 last time i went shopping..what recommendations for non OEM slides for the 40s&w's and 357s size frames.?
I found www.rockslideusa.com
Tacfire g23, Patmos g23 on opticsplanet ?
From what i understand, i can use a 357 sig barrel in a g22, g23 or g27slide?
Do not buy rock slide. There’s a warning w/photos here on the vender list
Don’t recommend optics planet . Never heard of Tacfire. Patmos is a JSD supply product that should be good to go.

My fav venders were Heavily Armor Division & Zaffiri precision but they no long offer them.

JSD I have experience with , good vender.

I have no experience with these but they are decent venders has far as I know. Recommend start a new post requesting member input on a vender before you buy.

Yes can use a g32 barrel with the 40SW slide. Can also get a 9mm conversion barrel and have a 3-n 1 fire arm that can run 9mm, 40SW & 357 freedom seeds.

Be sure to build the 23/32 with the correct parts they are listed in the resource center. Here’s the photo of parts that differ from 9, marked w/ star.

I would take a hard pass on a RockSlideUSA made slide. I have one, and while it hasn't cracked in the barrel hood, it is wearing funny and doesn't see much use. Mine is rather plain, without all the vent cuts, which may effect the distribution of the forces within the slide.

Used actual Glock G23 and G32 slide assemblies are the best choice for pulling off this barrel swapping parlor trick. They are relatively inexpensive on the used market, the metallurgy is sound, and most of them are just worn in a cosmetic way (i.e. Law Enforcement trade-in's that have lots of holster wear but are otherwise low round count parts.)

Just a quick check of eBay turned up several suitable used slides, with barrels, sights, and springs, for around $300. Looking at the auction photos, they all look like low round-count Glocks (little "smile" on the barrels, polishing of the hoods) and a mixed bag of dings and scratches on the exterior of the slides. So, functional, and a blank canvas for future modifications.

I don't understand the reluctance of the aftermarket community when it comes to making slides for calibers other than 9mm. I guess they don't see the opportunity to exploit that segment of the market.

Michele, why would you not recommend Optics Planet? I've had good luck with them, but you have to check on the stock before ordering. My only complaint is that they will continue to sell a product even when they have no stock and no stock will be had anytime in the future. Their customer service is good, and it is easy to reach them. Their clearance site Dvor.com used to have great deals but haven't really had anything outstanding for around 6 mths or more. Maybe toward the end of the year or back half they will really start discounting.

That's a pretty big complaint, IMO. I've never heard anything good about that company.

You have to check if the product is in-stock before you purchase. Most companies remove when not in stock. I had some Cross Armory pins I purchased as they were a great deal and I forgot to check to see if they had them in stock. After a few months, I called and cancelled as I needed them for builds. Sometimes I would just let it ride as the deals were exceptional and eventually got the parts. Other than making sure to check if in stock or not they have been great.

I didn’t have a good experience with them my order taking forever to get to me. They wouldn’t let me canx it. Having to check if items are in stock is not my idea of good service. It’s the venders job to offer in stock items or ID items that are no longer available or back ordered.

Ditto. There are BUNCHES of merchants (with competitive prices) I can trust to do that themselves, as they should. So, Optics Planet has nothing BETTER to offer, and instead offers WORSE service. I'll pass.

I've ordered thousands and maybe tens of thousands of dollars in parts from them and they have always been responsive. Took me a bit to learn to always check and make sure the part is in stock. If you check and it says it is in stock but isn't, I would do a charge back if needed. When I checked before ordering, I've never had an issue but, if you are not used to that, I can certainly see where it is a pain point. There are other cheaper options including their Dvor.com site so I rarely buy parts from optics planet, but it wasn't due to poor service.

Check, how? On any other site, it will say "in stock" or not. Fuck that shit where I have to contact them to see if it's REALLY in stock. That's just nuts.

Can you not see the image with my post, that's how.

You said that even though it SAYS it's in stock that you have to verify it (presumably by contacting them).

You have to check if the product is in-stock before you purchase.

They are FAMOUS for FALSELY claiming "in stock." It's THE reason I've never ordered from them. I've never heard anything good about them. And since I can order from other REPUTABLE companies that don't PLAY GAMES for the same or better prices, why on Earth would I gamble with this company?

I've never had to check. If it says in stock, it is in stock. My experiences do not reflect yours, but I also won't invalidate what you or others are saying just that it's not my experience. I have a lot of hands-on actual experience with them, and it has been smooth. I share the good bad and ugly. No tie ins or false loyalty with any company. I'm a dealer at many of the sites but that would not affect my opinion.

Based on their predominance of bad reviews, that was enough for me. There's nothing they sell that I can't get from another online merchant with glowing reviews.

I'm glad you've had good experience with them. But there's got to be a reason they are widely panned.

I've never understood how they get so much bad press. Like @FrankenGlock , I've never had a bad experience with them and I've spent several thousand dollars with them.
My only real disappointment was this,
1000025834.jpg

As you can see, I ordered this on July 28th 2023. It did show as back ordered when I ordered it, so I knew I'd have to wait. Well, August 1st 2023, Ontario Knife Company sold out and from what I can gather, no longer produce the OKC3S. Optics Planet continued to update the expected ship date every week for a year and finally gave up lol.
The thing I like about Optics Planet is that they don't take your money until it ships. So, while frustrating waiting for my bayonet, I wasn't out any money. Every couple months, I still get an email telling me that they'll notify me when it ships, even though it now says "product no longer available" on their website.

I've never bought from Optics Planet, but have bought a bunch from DVOR, which is the same company. The only one problem I've had, they resolved to my satisfaction quickly.

Like Michele told, RockslideUSA is without doubt bad, and should be avoided.

are there similar fitment and build illustrations for G20/21s, I need a G21 slide to run both barrels?

Aside from slight dimensional differences, large frame (ie: 45ACP and 10mm) guns are near identical in assembly as small frame. So a small frame illustration should be the same as large frame.
Yes, 45ACP slide (G21, G30) can use a conversion barrel for 10mm (G20, G29) but not the other way around.

I have photos of frame & lower parts for the 45. Don’t have upper cuz a 50 cal was built with that frame assembly. Would you like me to put the 45 lower photos up ? @Bobster explained it all for ya. Not sure the pix will be helpful
