Has anybody been able to mill a lower AR P80 lower frame using a Dremel drill press workstation?

For metal AR 15/308 milling, I use Tap Magic. A 16 oz bottle goes a long ways too and will mill 5-7 lowers depending on how much you use. It is also good for all drilling operations you will do with ferrous and non-ferrous metals using a drill press, hand drill, die grinder or whatever rotary tool is cutting your metal. Using a 5D router jig setup, you will deplete and use about 1-1/2 inches of fluid inside the 16 oz bottle. I measured and marked it with a marks alot to arrive at this measurement. This amounts to putting a decent level of fluid inside the lower for each pass of the 5D jig. I forget how many steps there are but it is around 20+ passes or around that figure, plus drilling the pilot hole for the trigger pocket.

I've never done it. I've always used my 5D jig, but looking at the Polymer80 jigs I don't see any reason why you wouldn't be able to use the work station. Just have to be sure of your depths. If I was going to do it that way, I'd probably opt for using one or possibly both of these bits. I regular dremel drill bit would probably take forever and the walls would more than likely be pretty wavy.
