Enough so that I port my own slides, and even a barrel...;)
One day when I grow up I wanna be just like you dad! :love:

The 10mm I made into a wide-port, based on Glock's updated G20C slide style. This was before I bull-nosed the slide and re-Cerakoted it. It shoots almost identically to the G40 long-slide I have, way smoother than a G20.

The G19 is in a USPA slide I picked up during Black Friday sales for ~$100. This one is a narrow-port slide, which is fine with the lower power 9mm offers, and relies on specific port placement, angle, and shape to help extract the gasses upwards and away from the inside of the slide. It actually works pretty well for a Compact 9mm, neither aspect lending itself to decent port effect. I copied Glock's G19C port size and placement for this one.

It made a heck of a mess.

Then there are the externally-ported barrels and muzzle-brake/comped barrels...

I would pay a ton of money to paint your red dot in titanium blue color :love:

Here is my first ported build. I have another one planed for a future build.

Mooner you have some really nice builds. Thumbs-UP

I was smart I would have bought a used Bridgeport mill before I retired. I could have really upped my game.

I'm gonna need your advice and help when the time comes to do KG Gunkote painting.
I compare Cerakote vs Gunkote and Gunkote seems to be more user-friendly.

I really don't know if it's easier or not. KG GunKote is the only paint I have used. Here are the reasons I started using it.

GunKote is ready to spray paint in a small airbrush (no thinning)

I can use a 180 additive that will let me cure polymer frames without warping at 200 degrees. (I do slides and barrels with 180 additives too)

GunKote has a long shelf life (I have some paint over two years old that I still use)

If I ever use up all my paint, I might try Cerakote but I have lots of Gunkote to use up. I can paint three pistols easy with 4oz bottle of paint. (Using a small airbrush with a 1/2oz bottle}

I really don't have any complaints, the problems I had was all my fault. I had a learning curve to overcome because I never painted curing paints before. I just painted fishing lures.
