I wonder how they did with the flooding. I can make a pretty good guess. Good thing they had 2 years worth of dehydrated food. There's plenty of water to hydrate it.

It was raining for a week up there before the storm cleared cuba.

I know south around the swamp 90% are without power. Since storm. It wasnt even that bad. Practically nothing accept from 0130 to 0245. We had 40mph winds constant and from wrong direction. Always blows east or west. This came from south blowing due north.
People already feeling the sting- lucky we still have water and natural gas. Most these 35 an under are weak as fuck. Witness 4 screaming matches in the street last couple days lmao. 1 fist fight.
They are saying between any second to 30 days for power.

I have decided that Im getting a 15k natural gas generator. Screw all this fillin the tank crap or having to find a place with power to get it.
Buddy dropped me off 10gal and he had to drive 60 miles yesterday for it.

Tri fuel and 2- 100lb tanks just cuz FTW

We got ours about 8 years ago and it has worked out well. As long as the natural gas flows it is good to go. You'll want to have some oil and filters on hand. In theory it needs an oil change every 100 hours of use or so. I am sure you can go a little longer.

Dual fuel... natural gas and propane. Best way to go. Using natural gas, technically you are on the grid. If the natural gas supply to the area were interrupted, The local gas utility most likely has only enough gas for a couple of days. Storage of natural gas is expensive and complicated.

If natural gas is available, it's generally cheaper than propane. My last home had a 500 gallon propane tank feeding a 24kw generator. The tank was buried.

Im getting a tri fuel- petroleum, natural gas or propane.
If that doesnt work Ill drag up a little diesel from the back 40.
Think the 12k to 15k run about .82 to .9 cu ft hr/ 1lb a hour @ 40% load.
200lb lq propane should be 9days +/-.
Plenty of time to located more form a raiding party. Lol
Thinking I need another dawg too. Might get a doberman. German Shepards are cool an all. This 1 is just broken.

Here in middle TN, it wasn't that bad, lots of rain but no more than spring rains. Wind was high but not higher than thunderstorms, but they did last longer, lucky no power outages.

We have had a generator for years now just for the fact that in country living, you are always getting power outage. I use a dual fuel generator because its cleaner to burn. Gas will turn to lacquer and clog up a carburetor when left not clean after use when the generator sets for a long time between use. Plus, ethenyl turns to gel when left of a year. We have power outages two to three times a year, but it's getting better.

I made it easy, I put in a transfer box that allows you to just plug in your generator then flip what breakers you want to use on. I can run everything except heat & air and electric hot water. If I had it to do over I would have gone with the Generx with 500-gal propane. Natual gas would be the way to go but I don't have access to it out here.

The trend has been for douchey young hipsters settling in around Asheville and the surrounding area. I wonder how the latte sipping liberal crowd is fareing. They will invariably blame climate change and vote Dem because the green new deal would have prevented this.

I had a lot of rain but I am on high ground. My property in the OBX is not flooded. There's no homes on that land. Some of the roads are flooded but not impassible. That's normal this time of year. My Gladiator is lifted, 37 inch tires, and has a snorkel so I can drive thru water a regular vehicle cannot. I'd rather not do that but there have been times when I had to drive thru "puddles" 2-3 feet deep.

In south georgia right on edge of eye, regular storm and wind wasnt enough to knock my flower pots off the porck ledge.
90% county out of power and multiple deaths.
Dont get it I was outside playing with the dog till 1am

This guy has the solution - it is literally chemtrails!

A large "umbrella" in geosynchronous orbit could block the sun and substantially cool the Earth. It would be relatively easy to deploy. Then again, it could also be used to deprive crops of the sunlight they need.

It would basically have the same effect as when a volcano erupts and fills the atmosphere with ash, blocking the sun. When Krakatoa erupted in the late 1880's, it caused crop failures and freezing winters for three years.

That is why we need to BAN and OUTLAW volcanoes!
When I did the Mt. Rainier summit climb, possibly one of the stupidest things I ever did, I had a long talk with it. Or that may have been a hallucination from lack of oxygen at 14,000 feet. :)

It did alot of damage, just not sure how.
Glass in house is 18th century- 2 branches through 2 windows and tops of 4 trees down. About 20yds of debris.
Got 100?? Flower pots on porch ledge not 1 got blown off nor any of my dozens of hanging plants damaged.
Tree branches 20" across laying in yard.
Bazaar indeed
