RMSc/Shield RDS Crimson Trace CTS-1525 3MOA with Ambient Light Sensor adjustment? PSA today, $55. LINK

I'm looking for a cheap red dot to throw on the Micro Dagger and this caught my eye.
The problem I have is that it is auto-brightness adjust. There are NO external brightness adjustments. So if I am shooting from a shaded area into a sunlit area, which is most of the time, will the dot be invisible-ish? Apparently, the included cover puts it in the lowest brightness mode but it is "shake-awake". I'm not going to get it for that reason but am curious if anyone else has one and if my assumption is valid...

Better check the CT website to confirm the mount. The listing is for one model 1525, the Description is for 1550. The reviews say all metal.

That stuff happens on the PSA site. The web kid gets over his skis every once in awhile and mixes things up. Trust but verify.

My question/concern was that it was "auto-brightness". So if shooting from a shaded pavilion at a sunlit target, will the dot dim automatically making it harder to see the bright target? The product reviews were inconclusive...

My optics guns live in a case so "shake awake" is less important to me. Before they go back in the case, I turn down the dot brightness to barely visible.

Will let you know as I got some. Even if always on, it’s a great deal for a brand name optic.

ANOTHER auto-brightness adjust RDS. RMSc and comes with a pict base, $70... LINK
