I'm still playing with the Birchwood Casey touchup pen on that hairline scratch as you can see, and haven't got it right yet. Maybe I'll send it off for a Cerakote Graphite Black treatment, but probably will just leave it, as-is maybe (with the hairline scratch showing) if I can't finesse the touch-up to my satisfaction

How did it get the scratch?

How did it get the scratch?
It arrived that way from the online vendor as a blemish, sad to say; and at the time with the alphabet agency and JSD supply, etc going-on I was hesitant to send it back for a replacement (which was cheerfully offered) when for all we know those idiots would next issue a cease and desist to all parts vendors across the board, and I didn't want to chance being without a slide. I know, it was unlikely to happen, but in this era of their arrogance, I'd put nothing past them. So the vendor offered a store credit as a compensation and we left it at that. It's literally a hairline scratch in the nitride finish from muzzle to ejection port. Whatever. Someday I may deal with it. But it's not designed to be a safe queen anyways. lol

You have a great build there!!! I wouldn't worry about the scratch just sand blast it and repaint. I look for those blemished buys just so I can paint them.
