Never used them, I hear they are good. 15 minutes out of my life to fit RRM. I've only ever had to fit two front rails. 10 minutes. That works out I'm making over $100 per hour doing what I enjoy.
I'm right there with ya Callducks7. I fully enjoy fitting my own parts. Front rail fits pretty well these days. The rear only takes a couple zips on the bottom and a few seconds on the curve. I rather spend my $ on something else, maybe a nice trigger.Never used them, I hear they are good. 15 minutes out of my life to fit RRM. I've only ever had to fit two front rails. 10 minutes. Me too. I like the feeling of accomplishment after I fit the rear rails. I did get 2 sets. I used one in me 34 and when I was finished, it wasn’t the same. I think I will use the other one in my Strike frame with my MGB slide.I'm right there with ya Callducks7. I fully enjoy fitting my own parts. Front rail fits pretty well these days. @Michele Hmmm??????????? Is this a black suspect locking block? Perhaps one that you may be referring to? I went through my stash of boxes tonight for future builds and located this black SC rail I got from JSD not too long ago. I don't have the time right now to start a new build, so if you can let me know that would be great. The rest of my parts are all silver metal rails. No other black ones.Lucky for us those blackish rails have long been replaced.
I’m thinking a few kits with the old locking block may start to appear as Aug nears. Suspect venders may find old stock from the back room and special stashes to sell.
I'm interested in giving these a try, although not necessarily replacing all of my rails from previous builds, at least not all at once. Are there specific issues that these rails would help with?
Thanks, that makes sense. I've done that for most of my builds and it was usually one of the more frustrating steps. I also had to sand down the locking block rails on 1 or 2. Will keep these in mind.I think mostly they help with not having to fit / smith the P80 rear rail module to line up with the pin holes. The Rook rails generally just drop in.
They are nice! After watching the vid and reading this and checking their site out, I'm sold on Rook Rails. Depending on availability I may have to retrofit them.
