Hey you built it!

When one goes and purchases a monogram, revel, etc model kit, you built it. No you didn’t do the plastic casting of parts, but you built the model.

Same with automotive mfg. those parts are in racks and bins (and the work to make those parts is often vended-out, but they assemble those suckers. They build them. I’d like to encourage you to not be ashamed to continue to use that terminology in like fashion.
Good job!!! Let us in on the range report!

I have to break it down a little bit more than that. When one assembles a frame or a lower it's just that, it's not a gun. On an AR it's two parts, an upper and a lower. Together it's counts as a gun. With a pistol unless you are doing the whole gun it shouldn't count.
My count is 72 with probably 20+ more frames that don't count.

You still have to put an upper and a lower together with pistols. Unless you just buy completed slides and frames.

That would be too easy !!!
That's an option that I have told a lot of people, even given them sites that are reputable to finish there gun.
