Tempted by the Frame of Another - Geisler Transparent Frame!

I like the way you think! I'll get that proposal in front of the House Ways and Means Committee (Mrs. Warhammer) ASAP!
To be quite frank, that's kinda why I posted it! :D
Like Dave, my first compressor was 80 gallons for paint work and other things. One of those "buy once, cry once" things you never regret.

When you're selling the compressor idea, tell her that you will do a lot of dusting in the house with it. Drag the air line into the house with a few blower tips both short and long and it does an excellent job dusting and vacuuming the floor, bookshelves and furniture in about 5 minutes. Just open the front door and blow it outside.

Seriously, I did this on occasions. Lots of dog hair and dust where I used to live because it was a dirt path on the property near the house for our cars. Works way better than moving shit around to get to the dust. You just gotta sell the redneck aspects to the wife.

In hindsight, if I ever build another place to live, I'm gonna plumb air lines in the walls out of thick schedule 80 into several rooms. It's cheap and you can always use air for stuff blowing keyboards or whatnot. Just regulate the air in one place for the house and crank it down. Racer could work at his desk and have air nearby to blow shit out and clean. Easy to do if building a custom home an way cheaper than electrical or plumbing work. The other thing I would add is a an oil change pit below the floor of the shop in one stall for inspecting cars and oil changes and simple fixes. All you gotta do is dig it in and lay concrete when you pour the shop slab. When you're old like Carter, you'll be able to change your oil. ;)

A little overkill for an airbrush. šŸ˜³
In actual use, just right. My airbrush as a slightly larger than normal needle. Pretty sure it would outrun other airbrush air sources.

I remember paying around $100 a year ago. The price now could be port strike prices.

It does do well with a media blasting cabinet though.

My IR compressor below. (picture of shop)
Having a big ol' compressor (if you can afford one) is a GOOD thing. Run it up to pressure, turn it off, and have air for days. Even though the motor draws a lot of juice, you are running it less frequently. This is also a "Buy once, cry once" purchase. :) I keep my drain slightly cracked to self-drain. The leak may empty the tank in a few days but usually no big deal. A big compressor is a MUST for plasma and sanders.

I have that same OTA HDTV antenna in my home shop. (the blue rectangle above the door) Mine is just hanging from the truss up in the attic by the coax that used to provide cable before they went wireless. I get dozens of good stations on it. I usually watch* StoryTV--Forged in Fire is on on Fridays. :) MeTV on Saturdays (westerns).

*ie: "listen while I work"

Am I the only one with a mental image of a Jiffy Lube employee wheeling Carter under a car and the oil draining into his open mouth?
We CAN make that work in Photoshop!! (now considered AI  )

You're worse than me. You probably listened to Andrew Dice Clay. I knew I shouldn't have posted that image up of Carter.

FWIW, here's a comparison of the 2 different ETS mags. They use the same light smoke transparent plastic, but the Omega mag has the add reinforcement at the top. It's probably a better mags, but doesn't look as nice for the clear aesthetic. Below, the standard ETS is loaded with dummy rounds, while the Omega mag is unloaded.

Almost ready to start building! I got the Holosun today. The iron sights should be here by Monday. I took a small chance and ordered a stainless steel locking block from Rook Tactical. I don't know if it will work with the Geisler frame. If not, I'll use it on another build and I'll have to Cerakote the original locking block.

Link bellow to the flea bay listing. They have other styles as well that look pretty cool. The workmanship on the one I got is superb.

I think I know the guy. What state did your plate come from?

Yes, he does my transfers and engraving. I live about 10 minutes from his shop.
Cool! Small world! The endcap I got from him is really nice. The only problem was deciding between a couple of designs he offers, lol. I'll probably get something else from him for another build. I just need to slow down on starting new projects until I finish a few I already have going!
