So .50Beowulf at 50 yards. I put a Vortex Strikefire II red dot on it thinking the recoil would break it. Well it didn’t. The Vortex works great. First few rounds were low as you can see in the pic with the white stickers. Second group after giving it a few clicks up weren’t far off at all, so I just started walking it in. The round was blowing out the wood target stands lol. I tell ya what, 350gr JHP .50Beowulf surely reminds you it’s not a standard AR with every round fired.

Makes a big hole. Awesome.

Now that it’s dialed in, as much of handfull it is to shoot, I’m pretty sure the next possum/armadillo I see in my backyard is going to make a hell of a mess. 😂

Fat Albert!!!
Yeah. So I’m kind of a nerd and give all my firearms names. Usually a Greek or Pagan god. I named this one Ares after the Greek good of war. Ares was known for being brutal and enjoying seeing people suffer. I feel it’s fitting for this rifle.

Ironically, my former coworker an I used to run a small gaming farm. He named his servers for Greek gods, but I figured I needed to go my own way, so my initial server was named "Beowulf"

Which is the main reason I want a 50 Beowulf instead of a 450 Bushmaster or 458 SOCOM.

My Navy brain says SOCOM though, so I will let them fight it out for a while.

That a whole lotta hate going down range lmao.
Fired a buddys 450L - 2 rnds. Gave it back and ordered everything for a 350L.

Bet that suppresses nicely.

My 350Ls are running about same fps 2000.
Even out of the 12" AR- supersonic is about as loud as normal clap. Subs sound like a red ryder bbgun. Improved accuracy and reduced recoil.

1/2" hole vs. almost there but not quite. Kind of half assing it if you don't get all the way to 1/2 inch.

I need to get mine to the range. Small issue I need to resolve with the Armaspec buffer spring I put in. I found a brass catcher that will work. No way I'm leaving that brass behind.

Is it worth anything? I left about 40 casings at the range. If they are sought after, I’ll start saving em

Yes send it to me :ROFLMAO:
I pick up every bit of brass I see at the range each time I am there - LOL

SOMETIMES I buy a gun to go with the brass.
That's going to happen shortly with the 357 magnum and 10mm brass I've accumulated :ROFLMAO:

The range I go to is a public range on a WMA that is literally in the middle of the woods. There is hardly ever more than 2-5 people there at a time, and almost nobody I've noticed saves brass. Next time I go, I can bring a broom and get you LOTS. If you're serious, next time I go, I'll police it up and contact you for an address to send it

Sounds great! I do the same, although I bought a cheap rake from Wally World:
We probably should look at pricing to ship before we commit to this.

yeah probably a good idea. Does USPS still do the whole "if it fits it ships" thing with the different sized boxes? I can just list the contents as "empty brass casings/tubes"

Starline makes them in batches, not regularly. Moderately expensive but not ridiculous. I buy them when available.

I have enough to keep me busy for now. Like youth, beauty and money, is there such a thing as too much? I don't see myself shooting 100 rounds per range session, more like one mag for giggles and move one.

I typed this earlier today. Must not have hit the Post reply button
