Just got the KTM MK2 RMR Cut slide.

The recoil area of the slide is too big for the frame area and I will have to remove plastic so the slide reciprocates.. Also it looks like the frame has an upward sag.

Looks like 1.5 to 2.0 mm of plastic that will be removed so the slide will function.

Going to take an exacto knife to the frame and mark it with white out. File down the excess then grind and polish it.

On the 10mm, you are better off skipping their barrels. Get a LW, Combat armory, KKM, or Bar-sto. Pretty much any barrel but theirs on the G40. Their G40 barrel with their slides are jam-o-matics.

You can make your frame work with the slide but you will need a Gen4 to Gen3 RSA adapter or even better get a single piece unit from NDZ Performance where it is attached to the end of the RSA. You will also need to hog out the front of the frame a bit so the slide will go through without obstructions. I recommend going with a 20lb or 22lb RSA.

Dremel or band file works the best for removing the excess plastic on the frame. Your frame will bend up slightly like a banana afterwards but all Gen 4 G20/21 frames do so.

Those Carver replica magwells are nice. I've purchased many of the Carvers and was really happy to see these as they are around 1/5 the cost.

I received two of the knock off magwells. The first one is going on the G40 build. It's already installed. The second one is going on my G20 that is 4 or 5 years old.

I really like the MKII slide. You can get them for around $140 off their site without a barrel. Serious deal for that slide as the quality of the ones I have are fantastic.

Went to the parts bin ; gen 3 springs 20 , 22 , 24 lb. Found a Gen 4 G20 stock RSA, this might work.

Gen 4 RSA won't work in your Gen 3 frame unless you hog the crud out of the inside of the rails. Better to just get the RSA adapter or whole unit from NDZ.

I have a 24lb spring on my G20. It eats everything ! I just need the SS rod assembly and the adapter. I put a few more items in my cart as well.

Good and bad today. First I got the slide to fit on the frame, razor blade sanding drum and a polishing stone did the job. The bad; those cheap knock offs Magwells needed modifications so the magazine would lock into place. The stock base plate edge was too thick in height, so I took the inner lip off the magwell . The real solution is to buy the metal base plates which I will be ordering next weekend. The difference is about half a millimeter but that is enough to keep the mag from engaging the mag release lever.
