Video Tire plug kit comparo

Cars don't have spares these days
We have one don't remember the brand but it's a cheapo one; they do work. Have used ours to patch tractor tires punctured by sharp rocks while digging for gold. Can use several plugs to fix large hole.
One of the things I like about my new Subie is that it comes with a FULL-SIZE spare. Not even the "donut of shame," but a full-size wheel / tire.

Nevertheless, I like having options, including being able to quickly plug a tire without even removing it. Or to help someone else.

...but a full-size wheel / tire.
Is the spare on a matching wheel? (ie: same size) Back in the day, it was customary to include the spare during tire rotation. If you have directional tires then I would venture a guess the spare is "just" a "full-size" perhaps maybe 16". The spare has to be big enough to clear the front calipers...

I have oversize tires... 37 inch, so I bought a fifth rim and tire and put it in the bed on a Baja-style mount. I dont put that tire in the rotation. Just the four on the ground.

I bought this kit a couple of years ago. I haven't needed it so far.

Funny story. My BIL is the biggest cheapskate on the planet and has no mechanical ability whatsoever. He cant fix anything. Their car had a slow leak in a tire and my BIL kept adding that Slime stuff over and over. My sister eventually made him take the car to a tire shop. The guy working on dismounting the tire got literally covered with who knows how much of the Slime goop. It was a lot. My sister said the guy was furious.

It's a duplicate of the other wheels / tires.

Yeah... don't use the "fix-a-flat" / Slime / goo-in-a-can stuff. Ever. It just makes a mess... and doesn't work.
