I'm slowly getting convinced we will be grinding out pups nails instead of nail clippers.
Looking for something quiet, cordless rotary tool recommendations?
Could but not necessary serve double duty as a shop tool. More looking for quiet home use.

Side note
I have a metal shop but it's so rare I need a dremel rotary tool, I have been using a drill or air die grinders (that would be far too noisy) and cumbersome with the air hose attached to use on the pup.

The pup and parent's.

I have been looking and watching a few videos.
From what I have viewed it looks like we would not use the guards available.

This is more of a personal opinion question... that I'm hoping some here have experience with a variety of rotary tools can answer.

I have a Dremel just for the dogs with sanding wheel. Works great. Once the dog gets used to it they’ll let ya know before ya hit the quick. Just don’t grind with hard pressure or if the nail got too long don’t take off a lot at one time…it gets hot. edit- guard not required. I’d be fearful of it. What if the grinder grabbed the nail or hair and pulled it in…blood bath.

The Dremel stylus I have is discontinued. But any small rotary tool will work. The sanding disc last for several beauty sessions 🙂
Here’s a cheap one on Amazon that should work great. Cordless types are pretty quiet like most battery op tools. About $17 on sale now

Both are pretty quiet. The Bauer has a bit of a higher pitch, but it has 5 speed settings and on the lower 2 settings it's very quiet. Bauer is a Harbor freight. Can get it for about 30-35 bucks

He doesn’t look very happy to see those grinders right there 😆

Lol....no that look on her face...Definitely not a fan of toenail grinding day. When she was younger it used to take 3 or 4 staff members at Pets mart to hold her down.
