Finishing up my two tone black/fde pistol build. Decided I like the sba3 over the sba4 but might prefer an fde sba3 (I don't currently own one). Open to opinions.

Nice. I really like the looks of the FDE BCG. Never tried that. Going to add that to the list of things to consider.

I too prefer the SBA3 over the SBA4. Just the cleaner looks and for me no change in functionality. I even have couple home defense builds with the SOB brace to simplify the build operations. Figure if ever need it, its going to be a grab and shoot and not going to be worrying about extending the brace. On these I put a Crimson Trace red dot and a Crimson Trace combo light/laser.

Got started on another build. Trying to decide between 50 beowulf or 6.5 Grendel.

Got started on another build. Trying to decide between 50 beowulf or 6.5 Grendel.
I would base that decision on ammunition availability! Price to. If I was going to do a big bore I would do 450 bushmaster due to ballistics. But that's just me.

Did 20" & 16" grendel. LOVE THEM!!! Popping coyotes 400yds with the 20".
Also went 350 legend 12" & 16". LOVE them too.
450 legend was a little more recoil than I was looking for. With the 350 follow up shots are easy. The 12" standing at 35yds mag dump under 6" group. I use the Ultedyne Athena break. Works well.
Faxon barrel- gas port and feed ramp are correct. With H3 buffer and Flatspring it doesnt alway lock bolt on last round with 145grain. But its fine with 180 grain.
16" is finicky as hell. Run flatwire and Olympian adjustable buffer with aero precision adjustable gas block. It runs fine when I remember to adjust for rounds being used. Slap knocks a deer off their feet. Its impressive.
