What do you think of this car gun safe?

I may be getting mixed up but weren’t you against biometric locks?

Then there’s this

ETA: for a deterrent against a quick smash and grab this may be viable, but given time such as in your driveway in the middle of the night…..

I'm not "against" them. But for my home quick-access safe, I got the version without the biometric feature.

One thing about this car safe is that it's in plain view.... even if "disguised."

Both versions come with a cable, so you could secure it maybe under the front seat or in the luggage area.

Too big to go under the seat. And to use it in the cargo area, you'd have to holster / unholster out in the open, eh? No bueno. But as I think about it, even used as designed in the back seat, you'd have to exit the car to really access it.

That all said, it does look pretty cool.

Not a fan. The ones in the headrests are neat but if your car has automatically controlled or active safety headrests it will defeat that safety and or convenience feature. Probably good for domestic cars and trucks with manual headrests.

One of the coolest ways I’ve seen were some vehicles have automatic and hidden areas in the dash that could safely fit a gun, be open and closed more quickly, and more hidden when the vehicle is off.
