Question Which do you prefer and why

I'll vote for the compact (940C). For the same reasons I think the Glock 19 is the gun to have if you could only have one.

In terms of size, it's in that "Goldilocks" zone... not too big, not too small. It can serve as a home defense gun. It can be carried concealed. Capacity of 15+1 is ample for most any situation. Add a single additional magazine and you're at 31 rounds.

With a magwell, the Compact fits my hand perfectly and securely. And that's why I built out a PFC9 (the 100% / serialized frame) as my current EDC.

What @Racer88 said. I have built more of the Compact frame size than the others.
The G43 sub compact single stack is also nice if you want a back up gun or small gun you can drop in your pocket for quick trips to the store. When the legal smoke clears and P80 ever offers a G43X/G48 frame, that might be the cat's pajamas. When paired with the PSA Micro Dagger 15 shot magazines, you get the best of both worlds. Also a good choice for the ladies that say the G19 is too thick in the grip.

My EDC is a Ruger Max9 with a Crimson Trace. It's ludicrously accurate and fast handling. It can jump around a bit in my 2xl hands but doesn't give up much to my open class IPSC gun. It's stupid easy to carry in a Cargo Pocket with no wardrobe discipline needed. I'll be working on an IWB/Shoulder Rig for my Dagger. My 357sig Frankenglock is my heavy Carry special with a Shoulder Rig.

Most days I carry my G-26 clone. It is small, easily concealable, and quite accurate. It has been serialized and is now a transferable weapon according to the FFL that did it. It can legally be passed on or sold after my death. I don't think that Biden's BATFE considered that when they started playing with the rules. They created thousands of transferable weapons in their attempt to limit our 2A rights. :ROFLMAO:

I prefer the pistol that fits the current parts kit.

When I started building these guns, Glock 17
and 22 kits were all over because lots of Cop
Shops were going to the S&W M&P's. Then
it was Glock 22's because the FBI was going
to 9mm and all the little wannabeees had to
emulate the feds. PF940's ruled.

Now, it is a mix with the 19-23 kits because
most of the city folks carry smaller pistols. So
the last bunch have been PF940c's.

I haven't tried the single stacks because I have
several factory guns(non-Glock) that fill that role.

And after re-reading this thread Racer88 is right,
PF940c's the Goldilocks gun if you only have one.

Which model do you prefer the , full , compact , sub compact or single stack and why ?
All of them!
The single stacks are fun to customize for carrying.
full size are great for those custom range builds.
Compact go either way just what idea I have for the build at the time.
Now that I am doing more custom work on grips, I like the full size and compact. Both have more room for custom stuff.

I prefer a Glock 43x because it doesn't have a manual and/or back strap safety(like a 1911) , it isn't too heavy, it is easy to work on, it is thinner than glock's double stack compacts, and it is easy to maintain.

I do not like Glock's sub compacts (near same cpacity but shorter) but my experience is limited to my g27 which does have the +0 pinky extender on the mag.

43 n 26 frames are too snappy and lock of pinky grip getting annoying.

43x is my EDC, but had to get stipple job n mini comp to tamp its snappy.

19 frame fits my hand the best. But the CL frame is my prefer frame now. Since CL frames dont exist, I have chop 17 frame to fit 19 mag. Function same as CL frame.
