I put 100 rounds of 38spl through it.

I did shoot some .357 Gold Dots at the end (12 rounds).

Here are the last 6 rounds... 357... at 10 yards.

This was after a long day at work and I was getting tired.

I could feel a difference with the .357-mag. Recoil was "sharper" but still what I would call "mild" in this 6-inch model.

I did send it back. They fixed it. It took a month from when I sent it to having it back in my hands.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I got it back, in terms of the quality of the refinishing of the frame. Overall, I'm happy with the fix and have decided to keep it and shoot it.
 
OK... without further ado, here are the pics. I see evidence of the refinishing in the pics that I didn't notice with the naked eye. What say ye?? I may be sorry I asked! LOL!

You already know what Viking wants, However..

100% agree with Alpha on that pin hole. Some one was cross-eyed, drunk, and hit their thumb and missed on that swing....is it worth sending it back? You have the skills and equipment to deal with that hole yourself...it obviously shoots well...

Still thinking Racer lets loose his keyboard skills, and gives them not a scathing rebuttel, but rather an accurate assessment....This is the gun you presented to yourself on a milestone birthday! this is your dream gun!

The question isn't is it acceptable, the question is did/does it fill that place in your heart you expected it to?

If one of us visited, would you pull it out of it's glass display case over your mantle, hold it out for us and proudly proclaim "here she is, my dream gun?"

And would we reply with the appropriate oohs and ahhs?

Or would it be "Well here is the blemish" to which we would respond "Ahhh yep I see it, clear as day"

Or is it just another gun that's just OK?

All Viking knows, is the Racer he knows, probably wouldn't display it with the same pride that he would, if he built it, as Goldie or the others...I know for a fact if you built that you wouldn't rest until you fixed that nasty blemish.....

But you didn't build it. You bought it.

Half joking half serious, as always, but if your happy my brotha. That's all that counts.

LOL! No glass cases on the mantle for ANY of my guns. Not my style. I like shooters.

It's a "dream gun," (in the sense that I've wanted it for a long time) but it's also just another gun. I'm going to shoot it... a lot. I'm going to eventually bang it up. It's not going to be a safe queen.

I have thought it over and have a choice... I can agonize over it, as if it's supposed to be a museum showpiece... Or I can just enjoy it as a shooter, which has always been the plan. It's not an heirloom or collector piece. It wasn't cheap, but it also wasn't a $5k+++ piece.

Who's stupid idea was that? I know plenty of women who would tell you in detail and show pictures of how they stretch out their girlfriends. Pretty sure my reference wouldn't even rate a PG. So I suppose the hundreds are supposed to just suffer for the existence of one easily offended person. I suppose since men aren't allowed to be exclusive that our existence needs to be subverted for the lone sensitivity of the entitled snowflake. I try to keep things G-PG at the most. I'm about to start working up 4-7 different 9mm loads for micro pistols through several carbines. I actually build guns from 0%-80% and bought parts. I made a slightly risque comment about the practice of buying guns to let them languish unused. I'm pretty sure most wives would eventually be offended enough to get a divorce and move on to the next guy of her own volition. Unfortunately guns can't divorce neglectful owners.

That would be enormously disappointing to me. It's like buying a new car with a few dings and a cigarette burn on the seat. It's like spending your life waiting for a Ferrari and when you finally get one it's one of the Volkswagen kits and you paid full price. I'm sure Racer paid a lot for this. It's like finally being able to walk into the Cadillac dealership only to realize that Chevrolet has better fit and finish. My Hi Point didn't have obvious blemishes from the factory.

I could have overlooked your original comment; I can’t speak for other females that visit. However, your response of laughing at @One Ping suggestion to respect members on here and this ludicrous comment is offensive, and not exclusively to females. Dis’ing upstanding Patriots is unacceptable 😡

I’m a Navy Chief that lived and worked shoulder to shoulder for 20yrs in close quarters with men of all kinds. I’m no snow flake that melts at the vulgarity of men’s sexual whims and fantasies. I’ve heard and seen all manner of perversion around the planet that males engineer & actualize.

Pontificating about your purported firearms building skills is not a free ticket to be rude. Respect is due to all members until proven otherwise… outrageous behavior expected on Reddit but not here.

Not only all of that ^^^ he got the female physiology a bit wrong.
Considering natural child births and such maybe he should stick to building guns.
