LOL! Why is there smoke coming out of the intake?!?? If they're going to photoshop something, at least make it believable.

I figured that was the exhaust stack being there's no room to run it under the car.

What is it burning for fuel? Lithium batteries? Coal? Even a diesel does not smoke that much.
I believe it's running on the carcasses of baby seals.

I don't get the "charm". I'd worked on and around heavy-duty Diesels for years- Cummins, Intertrashional, Detroit 6V92's FORD, etc....and absolutely hate the smell of diesel exhaust. The most acrid was the FORD variants, although the UREA technologies and scrubbers have somewhat cured that as applicable...
I guess everybody's different. But overall, the diesel engine was and is a working engine. It's meant to run, and stay running for a long time, even at idle. The usual civilian use of these engines in trucks is hard on them for that reason- stop and go, short runs, etc. I've two friends each with Diesel Super Duty's, and whilst condemning all diesel trucks but their beloved Fords as garbage, I've watched both of them each put tens of thousands of dollars into their trucks just to keep them running. I'm not exaggerating, and they don't abuse their trucks....

I love the smell of diesel exhaust in a properly running diesel. Rolling coal is nothing but wasted fuel due to over fueling, improper injection timing and improper boost levels. All abuse the engine. Kids do stupid things. I just sold my recent diesel and went gas. The DEF injection made the exhaust disgusting smelling. Everything the EPA mandates for modern diesels significantly shortens their useful life. Diesel exhaust use to be so coarse that it basically fell to the ground a few feet away and fertilized it. The particulate is basically nano particle sized now and floats in the air for days. I'm sure there are no health hazards from that. Good work EPA.
