so i have been looking for a holster with a lot of features for the glock43x

those features are

1: IWB for either 3'o clock and/or 9 o'clock position

2: has options that are available for both hands

3: is in stock

4: is a hybrid holster of leather and kydex

5: fully covers the trigger with kydex and no leather is touching the trigger gaurd

6: has adjustable brackets allowing me to have an adjustable cant

7: has foam padding on the back for comfort

now i have found this holster called the Dual Clip Protos-M® 2.0 from black arch holsters for Glock that SEEMS fit all of those rerquirements

before you leave a comment about kydex and leather hybrid holsters not protecing the trigger gaurd

here's the active self protection guy talking about how good this particular holster is because it's 3/4ths kydex and completely protects the trigger guard

anyway, this holster seems to have all the features i want except two

can it fit a weapon light?

can it fit an optic?

i contacted black arch and they said that this model doesn't come with weapon light compatibility

so i wanted to post this and see if anyone knows of any holsters that has all these features

8: has the ability to fit a weapon light

9: has the ability to fit an optic

any ideas or suggestions? any would be appreciated, thank you

Good luck! The Protos looks nice, but very limited..... Only Glock. No optics or lights.

This is why so many of us have a "box-o'-holsters."

Did you look at the Gradient Hybrid on BlackArch’s site? Seems like what you want. Can’t speak to availability though.

I'm not a weapons light guy, especially if trying to IWB it. One should practice shooting one-handed and if necessary, cross-hold the flashlight separate from the pistol. (random internet pic) OWB you could have a separate holster for the light, if needed. The flashlight IS a target, IMO...

At a steel match a couple months ago, one guy had a HUGE-ish OWB rig to fit his pistol-mounted light. He did "OK" with it but I don't see it easily concealed IWB... 🤷‍♂️

i did, it doesn't have any foam backing and they don't make it left handed :(

A torch on a home defense weapon is mandatory in my opinion. Carry... it's useless bulk. There is literally no practical scenario for needing a light on a self defense, conceal carry gun. Ask me how I know.

Special teams/SWAT... yes. Civilians... it's the domain of mall ninjas obsessed with accessorizing. Buying shit instead of training. I see someone walking around with a torch on a carry gun I know he's an amateur.

sure bud, i'll bite, how is a tool that allows you to see your target better while out and about in a self defense shooting "useless bulk"?

the way i see it, it can only help, if you point your gun at someone with the light and they turn out not to be a threat because you were able to identify them as either a friendly or not a threat with your weapon light all is well

"but..but you pointed a gun at someone!"

so? if i didn't have a weapon light they could be dead

"but but that's illegal!"

and it's a federal felony to have a gun in your possession within 1000 feet of any public or private school in all of the united states and it's territories, chances are, every single time you go to work you commit this federal felony

have you looked at Aliengear? I use one of their hybrid holsters daily ( its on me right now ) for my G26. very comfortable. at least for me. They offer lots of options too

agreed. I have a parts guy at work, Apparently he is a Navy vet ( 70's-80's I believe ), swears up and down he is shooting MOA groups at 300m with his AR Pistol in .300AAC. he proceeds to show me a picture of the weapon, and its a cheap Truglow red dot, that is mounted backwards! lol... I don't know how it pertains to this thread, but you made me think of it. I kind of give the "uh huh, thats awesome", and leave it alone. lol

Sounds like you want to compare credentials and experience? I'll start.

Twenty years of defensive shooting training from some of the best and carrying weapons professionally for two decades - ten of which was in a hostile environment in places most people couldn't find on a map.

Six years competing in various pistol classes, three years of 3 gun, and 1 year in long range precision shooting.

Trap, skeet, and sporting clays since I was 12.

Backcountry hunting Elk, Caribou and Big Horn over 20 years in Continental US, Canada, Alaska.

Ever been in a gunfight? Ever been shot in the line of duty? My guess is no. I can check both those boxes.

Federal and state gun law? Although I closed the doors on my private security business almost 4 years ago, I have a current PI license in 6 states and armed security license in 18. I've also operated in Europe, Canada, Iceland, and the Caribbean.

Good luck with your continued study of defensive shooting techniques.

Shit. I forgot wing shooter. Ducks, geese, pheasant. Occasional dove. Also since I was 12.

But what do I know.

I'm reminded of the story about the guy who finds himself at a party in Napa and starts yammering about how much he knows about wine. Only to realize everyone else at the party owns a vineyard.

The moral of the story is ... Why bother seeking advice in forum when you already know everything?

have you ever shot and killed anyone while not being paid to do so?

have you ever shot and killed anyone while not a soldier?

have you ever shot and killed anyone while not a cop?

have you ever shot and killed anyone while not a security guard?

have you ever shot and killed anyone in a self defense shooting while out and about as a civilian?
