I saw that on the news, and thought the same.
The US isn't the most loved country in the world, and them advertising the meeting of all of those important people in one place, it just doesn't seem like a good idea.

It could be a head fake - sorta like Trump's public indifference to Israel and Netanyahu in the weeks leading up to the 12 Day War. "Look at all the bight, shiny objects that will be here at this time and day" while actually doing something completely different behind the scenes.

Again, I think you're missing my point. I'm not suggesting that Quantico is "not secure." I'm sure it is.... relatively speaking.

But the motivation to find a weakness and strike goes WAY THE FUCK UP when it is publicly ANNOUNCED that the entirety of the flag officer corps will be meeting there with a specific date and time and even which building. And enough motivation and right materiel can overcome any level of security. Think missile strike.

Having the meeting is stupid enough. Announcing the date, time, and place is stupid on steroids.

Of course... I hope my concerns turn out to be unnecessary in retrospect.

BFD, let them have their fantasies, like I've said, other than starting WWIII or some lunatic showing up at the gate and quickly being sent to Paradise by a Marine, there's really not much to worry about.

It's not like they're meeting in some Iraqi village, 10 klicks from the Iranian border.

I didn't see any of it as incendiary" or "shaming."

What he said, I've literally been saying for many many years... much to the chagrin of my liberal friends and family, who misunderstand the PURPOSE OF THE MILITARY.

The purpose of the military is to be prepared to WAGE WAR. It's not a jobs program. It's not an equal-opportunity employer. It's not a platform for social experimentation or the implementation of woke social agendas.
