Video ICE self-defense shooting in Minneapolis (of course).

I was waiting for someone to bring this up.

Sig's PR department must be ripping their hair out.

I like (not) how they're blaming the gun, yet calling it a "negligent discharge."

I've looked at the AXG a few times. Nice gun. Metal frame p320.

A couple of the videos seem to show (albeit very blurry and I don't know of they have been edited) the agent in the gray hoodie shooting a round into the street with the Sig just as he takes the gun away from the Pretti. Very easy for that to happen in a scuffle. With any handgun.

The forensic evidence will show a round was fired from that gun if the vids are accurate. If they can dig the bullet out of the tarmac and match it to the gun, then no matter how it went bang, the other officers were justified in their response. 1. gun ; 2. shots fired.

This describes how I have felt since the Summer of Love 2020. Too organized. Too many laws ignored in one place or with one group while rabidly enforced in other place or on other group. As a veteran, I recognize a military style, and well organized operation.

The narrative makes some sense to me. The audio sounds like one round fired, then a pause, then a string of rounds fired. Which could have been Pretti's pistol discharging a round, then the agents reacting with a string of rounds.

Without knowing anything about the agent handling the pistol, I wouldn't call it "negligent"... what can be seen appears like good technique as he is turning and removing it from the scene of the fight between Pretti and the other agents trying to restrain him. Muzzle down, finger out of the trigger guard, and pointing it in a safe direction. Also, these agents would be familiar with the Sig P320.. they were issued them until recently, though not the bling'd out AGX model. It might have gone off while being unholstered as the Post is speculating due to the nature of this type of pistol.

Far as I am concerned... Pretti is no hero. He is just another shmuck who died of his own stupidity.

I disagree. The video is not clear enough to determine his finger position. If it fired, I am 100% sure he pulled the trigger. It's not clear in the video, if it fired, either. And there have been no credible reports of that, yet. But there would be the forensic evidence of a bullet strike on the pavement.

We'll just have to wait and see what comes up from the analysis of shell casings and where the bullets and brass ended up at the scene. I don't discount the possibility that the agent holding Pretti's pistol fired it while removing it from him. That's why I wouldn't call it negligent just yet.

Also agree. Still, easy to lose trigger discipline in a scuffle. It will be determined by the forensics. If the gun fired there's a casing and a bullet at the scene.

Check out the legs on that headless agent too.
His right arm seems to have issues too.

China is shaking in their boots seeing that we now have headless operators.

Yeah... I saw that, too. LOL! Also look at the perp's fingers on his right hand. They stop and then continue on the other side of the object he's holding.

I'm baffled by people who say, "AI is so realistic! You can't tell the difference!"

I can see an "AI" generated image a mile away and within about 3 seconds.

I watched this vid rerun on gootoob last night and was going to recommend it. :)
Short version is, the moment Pretti started resisting arrest, he became an armed criminal--in other words, it was no longer "legal" for him to have a concealed weapon, with permit on his person or not...

I am in the ND camp and not the "320 goes off by itself" camp. Agent in grey through his negligent discharge got Pretti killed. I want to know more about THAT guy's training because he's probably the same type of person that draws from a holster and shoots himself in the foot!

MrGunsnGear is reporting this:

According to multiple media outlets, Alex Pretti had a history of physical altercations with federal agents and suffered a broken rib roughly a week prior to his death from an altercation with agents.

That raises the question - did the agents who were attempting to detain him know who he was and that he had been violent and/or resisted previously?

Also, his ex wife has now stated he was involved in the George Floyd riots and apparently live streamed a lot of that. If true - I'd imagine that footage will be uncovered shortly.

Plan accordingly...

Trump stuns critics with 6-word takedown of guns after Minneapolis shooting

This whole "2A" debate in the context of this incident is a red herring, IMO. It's got literally NOTHING to do with this incident. Not a fucking thing. It's nothing more than a distraction.

Video not available. Maybe FukBuk censored it?
