1911 owners- thin or std stock thickness?

Thin is in. I usually upgrade stocks. Thin and smooth with a few exceptions. I go with thin g10 on duty weapons. I knock it down a little but I still want them to be extra grippy. Blood is slippery.

Someone elsewhere had said that the Garrison had ticked all of The Colonels’ boxes for his preferred 1911 spec. I think he had smaller hands and probably short fingers.

Me- while I can certainly live with the thin OEM stocks, I’d prefer the STANDARD thickness like the G10’s on my Officer’s clone, which to properly do it, also requires the right bushings as well as grip screws. Challis makes a great set.

Standard thickness for me. The DW Guardian I had came with thin grips. Never felt right to me until I changed the bushings and grips. The bobtail probably played a part too. Now my Para P12 is a fat S.O.B.
