Tabs like:

  • Ranger
  • Special Forces
  • Airborne (on SSI)
  • President’s Hundred
  • Honor Guard
  • Sapper
…exist because they identify ongoing status, not just training completion.

A tab is meant to say:

Haha... I wasn't suggesting that SERE "deserves" a "tab." 😏 I was simply pointing out that there are some other VERY tough / rigorous military schools, training programs, quals, etc... that don't get "tabs." Or any other recognition, for that matter. Most people have never even heard of SERE.
