Battery jump boxes are cool and handy!

@Racer88 prompted me to get one. I hope I never need it, but given my history with car batteries I suspect I will.
I figured I'd use it more to help other people than for myself. So far, that's been the case! I've had it only for a few months, and I've used it twice to help others.

Maybe it's a "karma generator!?" :)

Looks pretty cool. I've had some situations where jumper cables didn't work. It could also prove useful if you can't readily find someone to jump from. I've always been taught to hook the negative of the charged cable to the engine block/chasis of the car as opposed to the negative terminal of the battery. It looks like this unit more or less recommends hooking up to the negative terminal - is that how you use it?
If by "charged cable" you mean connecting the negative jumper terminal to a strong grounding point on the donor vehicle, that is what I was always taught, as well. (y)

I'd considered getting one when @Racer88 first posted about it here, in his '24 Subaru Outback - New Owner Diary thread, but delayed that acquisition for some reason. However, my son's friend was recently stuck with a dead battery in the driveway of the house she was house-sitting for and trees and other complicating issues that wouldn't allow him to use jumper cables to help her. So I was reminded by the previous thread and this one and finally squeezed that trigger! My very own NOCO Boost X GBX75 is supposed to be delivered by 15:00 today! Thanks for the reminder @Racer88!

ETA: Received the NOCO Boost X GBX75 around 12:30 earlier today, but dammit, there was NO CAPE in the box! :ROFLMAO:
