To set this up, there really is a town called North, in SC, but the rest of us pronounce it as one syllable. There is also a town called Due West. Why she chooses to reference a town 90 miles away as a landmark, and be dead serious about it, is beyond me. It had to have been a local joke in North, and she never "got" it.
I think she was dropped on her head as a child, but that's just me. How she got on a gameshow is also a mystery.
The best part is, she doesn't realize she's the source of the laughter!!
