I have a larger unit that is more commercial looking than this one. But this small consumer ultrasonic cleaner works like a champ on small guns and parts. The solution is 1/3 Slip2000 cleaner and 2/3 water. Any water-based CLP works fine. The Hornady cleaner solution is pretty good too.
I tossed in my P365 and look at the grime that came out of it! The solution was crystal clear before placing the parts in the basket. I will dismantle the slide and toss that in as well. I have been doing this with my guns for years and it really cleans well. The tiniest crevices come clean, carbon, old oil, grease and other grime just flake right off. I put disassembled mags in there too.
The water is hot. When I take the parts out they get a bath in very light oil. Then I blow out the oil with compressed air, wipe everything down and reassemble. My larger unit can handle an AR lower and larger pistols. The cycle is 4 minutes. I run it twice.
