Norris was preceded in death by the other gentleman in the photo, Fumio Demura who passed away April 24, 2023. I had the honor and privilege of Sensei Demura staying in my home twice while visiting our school in the early nineties.
Contrary to what this article says, Sensei Demura was not that limited in English. Just a heavier accent than Morita.

I have mixed feelings about this. It’s great to honor a man and his accomplishments but then to capitalize on his name before his body is cold. I have bought several items from these guys and like their quality but this is a little to soon for me. Just sayin.
